Checkinator

Booking Terms

Version 1.0 · Effective 12 June 2026

1. What Checkinator is

Checkinator is a booking facilitation platform. We provide hosts with tools to publish their listings, accept direct bookings, collect payments and manage guest check-ins. When you book a stay through a host's Checkinator page, your contract for the stay is with the host, not with Checkinator. We are not a party to that contract, and we do not own, manage, inspect or control any property listed on the platform.

2. Bookings and payments

  • When you submit a booking request, your payment is collected upfront and held while the host decides.
  • The host has 12 hours to accept or decline your request. If they decline, or don't respond within 12 hours, you are automatically refunded in full.
  • Refunds are issued to your original payment method. Processing times depend on your bank or card issuer (typically 5–7 working days).
  • Prices are set by the host. Any comparison to prices on other platforms is an estimate and not a guarantee.

3. Cancellations and changes

After a host confirms your booking, cancellations and date changes are agreed between you and the host. Contact the host directly using the details in your confirmation. Where the host agrees to a refund, we will process it on their instruction.

4. Your responsibilities as a guest

  • Provide accurate contact and identity details. Indian law may require hosts to collect and verify guest identification at check-in; you agree to complete the host's check-in process where requested.
  • Follow the house rules shown on the listing and treat the property with reasonable care.
  • Book only if the number of guests, including children, is within the listing's stated capacity.

5. The host's responsibilities

The host is responsible for the accuracy of their listing, the condition and legality of the property, complying with applicable laws (including local registration and tax obligations), and providing the stay as described.

6. Disputes about the stay

Issues with the property or the stay itself — cleanliness, amenities, access, behaviour, damage and similar — are resolved directly between you and the host. We may, at our discretion, help facilitate communication, but we are not obliged to mediate or arbitrate.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Checkinator is not liable for the acts or omissions of hosts or guests, the condition or safety of any property, or any loss or damage arising from a stay. Our total liability to you in connection with a booking is limited to the platform fees we received for that booking. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

8. Your data

We process the details you provide (name, email, phone, and any check-in identification the host collects) to operate the booking, payment, notification and compliance features of the platform, and we share them with your host for those purposes. We do not sell your data.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at New Delhi have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any non-excludable consumer rights you may have.

10. Contact

Questions about these terms or a payment: write to support@checkinator.com. Questions about a property or stay: contact your host directly.
