Checkinator

Privacy Policy

Effective 12 June 2026

1. Who we are

Checkinator is a booking and check-in compliance platform for short-term rental hosts in India, operated by HS & Co, New Delhi. This policy covers the data we handle when hosts use our dashboard and when guests book or check in through a host's Checkinator page.

2. What we collect

  • Hosts: name, email, WhatsApp number, listing details and booking history.
  • Guests: name, email, phone number, stay dates, payment status, and — where the host runs identity check-in — government ID details and a signature, collected to meet Indian guest-registration requirements.
  • Messages: delivery status and button responses for WhatsApp notifications we send on the host's behalf via the WhatsApp Business Platform.

3. How we use it

To operate bookings and payments, send booking and check-in notifications (email and WhatsApp), maintain the compliance registers hosts are required to keep, prevent fraud, and improve the product. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use guest data for advertising.

4. Sharing

Guest booking and check-in details are shared with the host of the stay. We rely on service providers to run the platform — payment processing (Razorpay), messaging (Meta WhatsApp Business Platform, email), hosting and storage — each receiving only what they need. We may disclose data where Indian law requires it, including guest-registration records to authorities.

5. Storage and security

Data is stored with access-controlled cloud providers; identity documents are kept in private storage accessible only via time-limited links. We retain booking and register records for as long as the host's legal obligations require, then delete them.

6. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by writing to support@checkinator.com. Deletion requests are honoured except where retention is legally required (e.g. statutory guest registers).

7. Changes

We'll post any material changes to this page. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
